Shiny Togepi Amigurumi

I wanted to start off this post by thanking you all so much for all the love you have shown Togepi. I love seeing your makes so please keep tagging me in your Instagram posts. I would love to share them for everyone to appreciate. You can find them all under my story highlights over on Instagram.

Having said that... I still haven’t seen any shiny versions of Togepi yet. So let’s get into what I used to create mine. The pattern is obviously exactly the same, which you can find here.

In terms of colours and materials it is pretty similar to the original version. I changed out the main colour of the head from Lemon to Apricot. The only other change I made was to the triangle felt pieces. I used the same colour felt and the exact same templates and placements for the triangles. But any shapes that are red on the original Togepi I cut out as blue for Shiny Togepi, and vice versa.

And that’s it!

YARN & HOOK

• 2mm hook

• Stylecraft Special DK in White and Lemon Apricot

• 6mm black oval safety eyes

• Blue and Red felt

• Black embroidery floss

• Toy filling

• Pins to place pieces before sewing together

• Darning needle

• Stitch markers (I prefer using scrap yarn as “stitch markers”)
